For those who came in from direct link, below are a few relevant items concerning the page you came in from. I got tired of fighting the line break problems derived from trying to make encoded text posts within that page and will just make the posts here. Line break tools wouldn’t even help. For those who didn’t enter by direct link – here’s the corresponding page for the info below.
On this page will be audio, video, ZIP and PDF files.
To open the ZIP folders see below.
The page above replaces the pages below;
When one downloads an item from archive.org it will come out as below:
“Being White in black-ruled Philadelphia; Whites, race, class, and things that never get said. (interviews with White residents in black Philadelphia) (March 2013 Article)“
But here is how I uploaded it:
“Being White in black-ruled Philadelphia; Whites, race, class, and things that never get said. (interviews with White residents in black Philadelphia) (March 2013 Article)”
So what I did was; added everything that was uploaded to the page in two Zip folders. And once the Zip folders are downloaded and ‘unzipped’ – all the files will be as the more coherent one shown directly above. Download these folders at the links below. It is everything that was uploaded within that page and no other items will be added to it. That page is now closed.
|(A-1) This Folder; 277 (1st half) files within this page||ZIP||2.0 GB [contents]|
|(B-1) This Folder; 276 (2nd half) files within this page||ZIP||1.8 GB [contents]|
Notes: If an item or items appears to be missing or sequences broken IE; item numbers skipped or missing… (1), (2), (4) — the missing item, in this case (3), will be in another category.
If any video/audio shows an error or will not play, download it and watch/listen offline. My preferred media player – GOM – free download here.
Some items may be in ‘ZIP’ format in order to package or combine related materials into one folder, so as to keep them together. And also, to avoid having to upload many related items individually. These items can be unzipped using a free ’unzipper’ – free program here. (How to open Zip folders using free 7-Zip program)
PDF reader/viewer is necessary to read/view PDF files. Download free Adobe PDF reader/viewer here (I‘d unclick McAfee offer prior to downloading). Also, for those outside of North America or who have a portable device, and who want or need to read in another format, search for a free converter which will convert from PDF into whatever format you need. There’s tons of them. As an example, if you desire an EPUB file type, download in PDF and then search for a free online program that will convert from PDF into EPUB. This can come in handy especially in Europe. But, again, the PDF file is the most universal file type and chances are, your device will read it.
